Get this mesh jumbo pencil cup from the dollar store, make two holes at the bottom with a Phillips screwdriver and hammer. Half fill with pellets, use a little candle wax with firestarter to get a good firegoing, place pan on top to cook, burns for very long time provided you move pellets around with a metal spoon once or twice during hour + burn, cooks like a gas stove, costs $1.25, easy to carry and it boils water as fast as a kitchen gas stove if not faster
p.s: it's a great little heater too, the mesh radiates heat to the sides 360 degrees, if you want the wood pellets to burn to the very bottom, use some gravel rocks for half inch layer bottom, to let air pass through.
Wood pellets make great cheap cat litter, and they’re also great for spreading on ice in the driveway.
When you step on them they turn to sawdust and freeze in a rough texture for traction.
If you’re anywhere that has snow, even if you don’t have a wood pellet stove, you should have wood pellets.
Thanks for your tips!
