I make the best ghee (butter) cookies on the planet.

1 cup of ghee

I sachet of vanilla

I tablespoon of honey

2 cups of arrowroot flour.

Blend everything in a food processor then chop up a bar of Lindt 70% and mix it in by hand.

Roll dough till pliable, pinch off small blobs and flatten with a fork, bake at 180° for ten minutes.

No, the milk solids can be dodgy in sensitive types. I suspect (but don't have time to prove) that vaccinations included milk proteins at some point which meant development of autoimmune issues to dairy.

I thought about making some ghee a few years ago after reading about it but it looks like a pain in the ass to make. What about just taking butyric acid?? Would that suffice?

It's very quick once you've done it once or twice.

I live in a tiny rural town so my grocery store doesn't stock it but I can get it online. I never attempted to order it online because I was worried it might be rancid by the time it got produced, stocked, and shipped. But I will give it a try.
